Mia Khalifa is a Lebanese-American media personality who was born in 1993. She used to be an actress in pornographic films and a webcam model. 

She began performing in pornography in October 2014, and within two months, she became the performer with the most views on Pornhub.

 In the Middle East, her choice of career was met with controversy, particularly due to a video in which she had sexual relations while wearing a hijab.

Khalifa attended a private school in Beirut that taught French, where she also learned to speak English. She was born in Lebanon and was raised Catholic in a home that she describes as "very conservative." In 2001, she and her family left their home in response to the conflict in South Lebanon and moved to the United States. Her family lived in Montgomery County, Maryland, where she played lacrosse in high school, after moving to the United States. She claims that she was the "darkest and weirdest girl there" when she was bullied at school, which got worse after the September 11 attacks. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Texas at El Paso after attending Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Virginia. 

While she was there, she worked as a bartender, model, and "briefcase girl" on a Spanish game show that was similar to Deal or No Deal.
